New AT&T Ad Counters Verizon’s Misleading Network Advertising November 18, 2009

This evening we are launching a new national ad campaign in response to Verizon’s misleading network advertising. The campaign features actor Luke Wilson as our spokesperson, and he promotes the advantages of our network: The central message? "When you compare, there’s no comparison. AT&T. A better 3G experience."

Our network has unique attributes that Verizon and other competitors cannot match. As you visit with your friends and neighbors, please keep these key points in mind:

· AT&T has nationwide wireless coverage

· AT&T offers a better 3G experience

Check out the ad airing tonight on Fox ("So You Think You Can Dance"), CBS ("Gary Unmarried" and "Criminal Minds") and ABC ("ABC Special"). It will be posted on AT&T Insider and the Our Network web page. You can also refer family and friends to this new website for more information about the nation’s fastest 3G network: The Truth About 3G.

In related news, earlier this month, we challenged Verizon’s advertising claims in court, asking that they be prohibited from misleading consumers regarding the scope of our wireless network. This afternoon, the Federal District Court in Atlanta denied our request for a Temporary Restraining Order against Verizon. The request for a TRO is the initial step in the litigation, and we look forward to presenting our full case to the court as we continue to challenge the Verizon ads. Please continue to help set the record straight about AT&T’s wireless data coverage!
